I have been going to the Nutmeg with my family for years. Always exceptional.

My wife and i attended a Chrismas party 12/1/ 2012 and the food was great first they serve the rolls and butter the rolls were great not hard like some places and they was hot when serve, Then an entree on pasta and sauce was serve very delicious,followed by a garden salad also was good,Then my prime rib awsome, cooked the way i wanted very tender melted in my mouth my wife had the bake fish with a seafood stuffing she said it was very good it looked good too.Then for desert we had a homemade apple strudel drape with this caramel sauce alone with a hint of whip creme very delicous.
p.s The service was very good friendly and prompt we are looking forward to come back and more meals there the ambiance is so nice and warm.at The Nutmeg Restaurant.

I was in a party of three who were celebrating our traditional Thanksgiving Day meal at a restaurant. We chose The Nutmeg because we had had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here back in June and everyone raved about the service and the food. Once again we were not disappointed. We all enjoyed our Pre Fixe Roast Turkey dinners and a great time was had by all. Our server did a fine job, but it was as much the Nutmeg's "supporting cast" that made our Thanksgiving meal so memorable. Kudos to the entire staff. As a result, we're now looking forward to enjoying more meals at The Nutmeg Restaurant.

We brought a group of 7 to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and had a great time. We were spaciously accommodated at a round table which made conversation easier. Service was friendly and quick, and food was superb. Steaks were cooked to perfection - really high quality cuts of meat. Seafood was also very well done. Salad appetizers were sizeable although perhaps a bit heavy-handed with the dressing. Next time I'll ask for it on the side. Highly recommend the calamari appetizer. Desserts were also exceptional, in particular the pumpkin pie. Service was very attentive without hovering. Absolutely no complaints for a really wonderful meal!

Went to brunch on Sunday October 14th for my husbands birthday, Food was great. Had a issue to where our table was located. Another party was in the main room which was our path to the buffet. Waitress asked us to go outside and go around building to the buffet. My daughter spoke with someone about this. A wonderful man named Paul came to our table to tell us that a mistake had been made and to continue going thru the main room. He was very polite and handled the matter in a very professional manner. Thank you again Paul. We will be back for the food and Paul.

My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary. We have always had a positive experience. My wife is hooked on the baked shrimp while I like to try different seafood selections. It's anniversary time again and we will be going there tonight!

Head and shoulders above any other restaurant in the surrounding area. Stuffed filet mignon was exceptional.

We went for Sunday brunch it was excellent.

Staff very pleasant. The meat selections were very bland and overcooked. Disappointing.

I attended a birthday celebration there September 8th. The food was poor. Restaurant needs a facelift. Beautiful place but need to clean carpet and refurbish.

We had our wedding here in the fall of 2008 and it was WONDERFUL! That staff took care of every detail and really went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went flawlessly. Guests are still talking about the food and about the great time they had. We could not have asked for more. We have of course been back since our wedding and I have to say the service and food are of the same excellent quality, whether you are there for a wedding or just a quick lunch!

Wonderful restaurant! I too recommend the calamari appetizer. Lunches are a bargain and dinner prices are on a par with far lesser establishments. The lobster bisque is the best I've ever had.

My favorite Connecticut restaurant. Lunches are a bargain, and dinners are priced in line with what you you are getting. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food with an upscale ambience. The calamari appetizer, served with fried jalapenos and melted gargonzola cheese is a must-try.
